How does a membership work?

It’s easy! All you have to do is subscribe, and we take care of the rest. Every month, you’ll receive a box with a new book, Black Butte Gold coffee from Sisters Coffee Company, and an assortment of other bookish swag or goodies from Sisters Country businesses and artisans.

Can I pick my box up at the store?

At this time, boxes cannot be picked up at the store. All boxes will be delivered right to you!

Can I skip a month?

Unfortunately we don’t currently offer the option to skip a month or freeze a subscription. You can functionally do this, though, by cancelling your subscription and then subscribing again when you’re ready. Feel free to email us if you’re worried about missing the next month’s deadline for resubscribing.

Can I pick my type of coffee?

All boxes come with your choice of regular or decaf Black Butte Gold blend from Sisters Coffee Company. During checkout, you can pick how many bags you’d like included and your preferred grind for your beans.

When do I need to sign up by to receive that month’s box?

That depends! We ship each box based off of that book’s publication day. For this first month’s box, the deadline to subscribe is September 7th. Each month’s subscription deadline will be posted here. If you miss the deadline but would still like that month’s box, just send us an email and we’ll do our best to make it happen!

How can I cancel my subscription?

Managing your subscription is easy! Under your “account” in the upper right hand corner of the page, you’ll see a “subscriptions” tab. Click there to manage your subscription.

Can I gift a subscription?

Absolutely! You can gift a monthly subscription or the one-time purchase three-month subscription. Under your “account” in the upper right hand corner of the page, go to “addresses” and add the address of the person you’d like to gift the subscription to. When you checkout, select their address as the shipping address. Voila!

When will I receive my books?

The exact day varies, but once per month! Exact shipping timelines are dependent a book’s release day. All boxes are shipped so that you receive them as close to that book’s publication date as possible.

We don’t currently offer the option to pick which book is included in your box. We select each month’s book from

Is shipping always free?

Yes! Shipping is always free. Unfortunately, we aren’t currently able to accept subscriptions from those living outside the US.

When will I be billed?

In addition to the day that you subscribe, you will be billed once a month on or around the day that you subscribed.

What if I want to exchange a book or received a damaged book?

No problem! Every monthly subscription comes with three free exchanges every year for a book of equal or lesser value. To exchange or get a replacement for a damaged book, just email us and we’ll get a prepaid shipping label and further instructions to you.
